After this application was updated, it left an orphan icon on my dock (i.e., clicking the icon doesn’t actually open the application. Further, opening the application in the Applications folder does indeed open the application, however, it stays in a “synchronizing” mode—with no recovery (the application won’t close, and it doesn’t stop “synchronizing”). It appears to corrupt the file as well, as trying to open a file on another device (not a Mac) shows a message the the password is incorrect. (It’s not.)
Update: I’ve validated that version 1.7 is indeed the problem. A restore from TimeMachine of version 1.6 has yielded the results expected. (Quick synchronization.) Also, it appears that they changed the name between the two versions, which explains the orphan icon in the dock.
